racing sim chair

Hey guys has anyone here ever built a chair, lets say a bucket seat with a mount for the sterring wheel, pedals, speakers, etc. If so, let me know of some plans for making it out of plywood and 2x4s and such. Thanks, Doug "Gitpicker"

I've never seen one 'built', but it'd be pretty simple. I was able to find this one on the web. This one is way expensive, and I personally think that one built with wood and a decent seat would work just as well.

racing sim chair

Thank ya my ol buddy, but yeah, that looks expensive. Just something simple. My rig I'm been trying to use is a bord from an old vcr stand that my son took apart to throw in the trash, so I resqued it and used a nylon strap wrapped around the board and criss-crosses
around the wheel. I'v tried holding in my lap, propping up on the slide out tray on the pc desk and borrowing the folding metal yamaha keyboard stand, it adjusts to different heights, but still to awkward to use. The nylon straps hold the wheel rock steady to my surprise!! Also, the throttle and brake pedal slides all over the place, lol. I'm using my old analog gamepad, man the wheel makes a huge difference in lap times. I've the wheel a long time, just tried to use it seriously though. Its a logitech nascar model, thanks for the lookup my friend, Doug "Gitpicker"
